'Planeta Nadezhd' was engaged in protecting the rights of victims of radiation exposure in the Chelyabinsk region. The organization was created in connection with the radiation threat to the residents of the city of Ozersk, coming from the enterprise 'Mayak'. In 1957, a radiation accident occurred there, as a result of which more than 250 thousand people were injured.
