The 19/29 Foundation was engaged in professional, financial, legal support of independent journalists and bloggers in conducting investigations using modern technologies. After being included in the list of foreign agents in 2015, the organization moved to the Czech Republic, where it continues to operate. One of the main projects of the fund - School of Investigations: seminars and master classes in Russian regions for bloggers, activists and journalists who want to learn or improve investigation techniques.
The 19/29 Foundation is part of the Global Investigative Journalists Network and is affiliated with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project.

The 19/29 Foundation was designated as a 'foreign agent' after an audit which revealed that the organization had foreign sources of funding: the Foundation received money from the US National Endowment for Democracy. Invitation of opposition figures to the lectures of the Foundation was considered by Russian Ministry of Justice as the Organization’s political activity.
